In 2006, the city of Saint-Lambert consulted its citizens with the aim of drawing up a strategic development plan that would become the primary working tool of the municipality for the next five years. The resulting plan focuses on nine priorities, one of which is to enhance the Village’s brand image.
In February 2007, over sixty businesspeople, elected municipal officers, and senior administrators of Saint-Lambert met again to reflect on the theme of “the future of the Village.” Among the recommendations to emerge from this meeting was the establishment of an independent corporation whose mandate would be to promote local economic development.
On July 25, 2007, the Corporation for the Commercial Development of Saint-Lambert was legally incorporated.
